Asmaa Halim

Asmaa Halim is a clinical psychologist, holding a master’s degree in psychology since 2013. In December 2020, Asmaa will be concluding her 3-year diploma in Relational Expressive Dance Movement Therapy (Dmt-ER®) from Italy, under the supervision of its founder, Dr. Vincenzo Bellia (http://www.danzaterapia-esprel.it/it/). She is also a certified creative movement Therapy Facilitator from Creative Movement Therapy Association of India (Member of American Dance Therapy Association).

In 2016, Asmaa founded her own therapeutic program focusing on women and their relationship with their bodies “Halima’s Studio” that uses movement and the vocabularies of belly dance to improve the women’s body image.

During the last four years, Asmaa has been exploring the impact of DMT as a powerful tool in psychotherapeutic process (in both research and field contexts), and she is currently working to widen the use of DMT by designing and delivering programs that help families, couples, and individuals; men and women, to improve their quality of life and mental wellness.
